When you first have your custom glass installed in Melbourne by Clear Brilliance, it will look amazing; however, you need to make sure that you are taking good care of it in order to keep it looking this way for a long time. Here are some of our top tips for cleaning this glass.
- Don’t Use Harsh Products – One of the most important tips that we can give you that you must remember when cleaning your new glass is not to use harsh products. Stick to using non-abrasive cleaners and glass cleaners with a soft cloth or non-fibrous paper towel. Water and glass cleaner will do a fantastic job, and there is absolutely no need to use any rough materials or harsh chemicals as these can negatively impact your glass. If this is something you are concerned about, ask our team about our glass treatment, which can massively reduce the need for cleaning, especially for glass pool fencing as it’s generally exposed to the elements
- Dry Residue – It is a good idea to dry any remaining residue on the glass that has been left from the water or cleaning solution. This is because if you do not dry residue from the sealants, gaskets and frames, it can cause water spots which you do not want. Remember that wet glass is dirty glass!
- Work Your Way Down – When you are cleaning glass, the easiest way to do so to avoid residue and streaking is to work from the top down. Start with your water or glass cleaner from the top of the glass and then clean the rest as you go.
